Project Description

The Swan Princess was the Deben Player's pantomime that was directed and written by Samantha Harvey.

After many years of war, King William of Sausburger and Queen Olivia of Hamburger decide to betroth their children, Princess Odette and Prince Siegfried, in the hopes of uniting their kingdoms.

This was a pantomime and therefore had a large number of technical requests from a lighting perspective. From small "birdies" placed in castles to haze machines placed either side of the stage and LED batons running along the front and rear of the stage and moving head fixtures placed on a lighting bar above the stage to give effects onto the floor through the gobos and prisms that were built into the light or a full scan of the audience during the finale this really wasn't an easy job!
